With Agriculture and Food Security as an optional subject now included in school curriculum, a group of 33 students from Drukgyel High School visited the Centre on 25th September 2013 to learn more about soils, its importance and sustainable management.
The visit also provided the students, the opportunity to learn about the Centre, its mandates, plans.
The Centre was created in the 8th Five Year Plan period and reports directly to the Department of Agriculture (DoA) under the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock (MoAL). The aim of the Centre is to co-ordinate soil/land management research activities of the RNR sector.
