A group of 25 final year student teachers from Paro College of Education studying Applied Chemistry visited the Center with the objective of collecting information for their project work and also to link their theory knowledge with practices outside the classroom.

The Centre was created in the 8th Five Year Plan period and reports directly to the Department of Agriculture (DoA) under the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock (MoAL). The aim of the Centre is to co-ordinate soil/land management research activities of the RNR sector.
