Bhutan attended four days regional workshop on Strengthening In-Country Partnership for Integrated Drought Management from 15-18th July 2025 at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) of the Department of Agriculture in Manila, the Philippines.
The workshop was co-organized by the BSWM, FAOand the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) with the aim to strengthen participants’ knowledge and understanding of drought finance and investment, while developing their skills in planning, analysis and evaluation. These improved capacities will support the revision and enhancement of their respective National Drought Plans. Through expert presentations, interactive exercises, and peer learning methods, the workshop has served as a two-way knowledgesharing platform that fostered partnerships among the participants.Other countries who attended the workshop included Eswatini, Ghana, Nepal, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.
