A three-day hands-on training on Sustainable Soil and Land Management (SSLM) for agriculture supervisors from Lhuentse and Mongar Dzongkhags concluded successfully on 8th October 2025 at Lingmethang, Mongar.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of field staff in promoting sustainable soil and land management practices for improved soil health and agricultural productivity. A total of 25 Dzongkhag and Gewog agriculture staff from the two Dzongkhags participated in the program.
On the final day, 25 farmers from Thridangbi Chiwog under Saling Gewog also joined the training and gained hands-on experience in practical soil management techniques.
The training was funded by the Commercial Agriculture and Livelihood Enhancement Program (CARLEP) based at Wengkhar.
