Bhutan being a member country to the United Nation Convention for Combating Land Degradation, Desertification and Drought (UNCCD), and as to observe its Day on June 17th, the National Soil Services Centre, DoA/MoAF in collaboration with Dagana Dzongkhag agriculture office, carried out a mass land management campaign through Napier hedgerows establishment in the vulnerable steep slope dry lands. The mass campaign with the theme “Rising Up from drought Together” kick started from Babithang and Goongpasumchu chiwog under Tshangkha gewog and Menchuna under Drujeygang gewog. In total 116.5 acres of vulnerable dry lands were brought under SLM practices benefitting 102 hhs (458 Male & 500 Female)
